The branch has finished compiling a research project that is an index of assessed property owners in Weyburn from 1904 - 1920 including a map of 1908 of Weyburn with the surrounding rural landowners, railroads and school districts as well as a 1912 map of the surveyed lots and blocks. At the end is a listing of business owners from 1913 onwards as well as photos from this time period. It covers Weyburn from being a town in the Northwest Territories to its becoming a province and then the entire span of World War 1 , with several names having "enlisted" appended to their names. The purchasers came from all parts of North America and a few from the UK as well. In the comments field we have listed their home offices, home addresses or other information provided including estates. Check this out as they didn't have to have lived here to have purchased lots. The 3 volume book set is available for $300.00 each, the single CD for $22.50. These prices are good till Dec. 31, 2010.
