Memberships
By-laws of our parent organization, SGS, require that all branch members MUST BE members of the SGS. The membership for SGS is $40.00 for a regular membership OR $50.00 for a value-added membership. Student memberships (to age 22 yrs) are regular $25.00 or Value-added are $30.00 each. Weyburn Branch membership is $10.00. Both memberships are per calendar year annually. INCLUDED IN MEMBERSHIPS: SGS MEMBERSHIP: § Receive four electronic issues of the SGS Bulletin per year or include additional funds for a hard copy mailed to you § Borrow books from the SGS Library in person or by mail § Use of the microfilm/microfiche collection in person or have searches done for you for a fee § A new membership kit including: guidelines for getting started, and family history sources in Saskatchewan § Names and addresses of major record holders WEYBURN BRANCH MEMBERSHIP: § Mentoring, share information, methods and interact with fellow researchers § Get advice on research directions § Receive two issues of the Weyburn Genealogical Branch newsletter “Heritage Echoes” per year § Educational workshops and lectures regularly
Access online Ancestry and Find My Past websites by appointment through SGS (see their site) and access other SGS online databases (this service is on-going with new additions coming onstream at various intervals)
